Wigmore Association’s Semiannual Meeting in London
Wealth Management
Last week, Turim took part in another edition of the Wigmore Association’s semiannual meeting, held in London.
Wigmore is a global network composed of leading independent family offices from around the world, dedicated to sharing experiences, strategies, and best practices to continuously improve wealth management.
Representing Turim were Ana Carolina Carvalho (Co-CEO) and Nilton Bastos Filho (Partner, Commercial Team) at the CEOs’ meeting, and Fernando Verboonen (CIO) and Lucas Panaro (Head of Liquid Funds) at the CIOs’ meeting.
At the CEOs‘ gathering, discussions focused on member benchmarking, service best practices, portfolio strategies, infrastructure, marketing, and technology. A key focus was the client prospecting and onboarding process, which led to the formation of a working group to further explore this area.
At the CIOs‘ meeting, debates covered investment philosophy and governance, team structures, drawdown processes, portfolio construction, return sources, and ESG integration. The agenda also featured panels on topics such as the role of the U.S. in the global economy, investment opportunities in Europe, geopolitics, risk premia, and the relationship between public and private markets.
A highlight of the week was a private lunch and roundtable with Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman, India’s Minister of Finance and Corporate Affairs, and her delegation, in a closed-door session with global investors.
We thank Mutual Trust, HQ Trust, Pitcairn, and Promecap for their valuable collaboration in organizing the event.
